Chan's Chinese Food: Gainesville's Premier Chinese Takeout Experience

I have been a big fan of Chan’s for many years. I always order the same thing, Vegetable Lo Mein. However, I’ve noticed within the last few months the food has gotten very salty. The flavor is still there (delicious!) but I can barely make it through a bit without needing to drink water. Wish they could tone back on the amount of sodium. Customer service is always nice and staff is great.

Family run business with no nonsense service and decor, but with outstanding food that is always served in generous portions. I pick up meals after work and drive across town and the food is still fresh and warm when ready to eat.

Chan's Chinese food does a service. Their lunch special(11am-3pm) is incredible. They offer a nice selection of generously portioned entrees with a drink included. The food is wonderfully tasty, and the customer service is great and fast. If you are craving Chinese cuisine for lunch or dinner, I highly recommend them. Be sure and call in first, to order. Food’s always good fresh excellent taste. Foods made at the time of order. Nice large portions.

Food so far is always hot and taste grate I been 3 times so far and not been let down if they say 10 minutes they mean 10 minutes which is a big plus for someone like me that stops in for lunch. They have great prices as well.

Clean and friendly. Ordered a regular size Lo mien Veggie add Tofu and I think they gave me more tofu than any other Chinese place I've tried in Florida, and maybe even in the US! Super fresh, nice large pieces of broccoli and also mushroom:) Happy. Also super fast and reasonable price. Thanks for making my Gainesville trip better!

Cheap & fast & tasty! Strip mall Chinese food made to order. Was still hot when I got it home 15 minutes later. Ordered chicken chop suey, Szechuan chicken, and pork fried rice. All very tasty.

Moved to Gainesville a little over a year ago and I tried numerous Chinese places that all were mediocre to simply bad. Finally, Chan's delivered. Flavors were good, sweet dishes had a nice subtle sweetness and spicy dishes had enough spice without overpowering the flavor of the dish itself, actually enhancing it. Portion size was very good. Only issue was it's a tad on the pricier side and I couldn't find a good menu anywhere so here's one. The bar was basically on the floor, but Chan's was the best to date in Gainesville. Definite recommend.
